About Reverb
Overview
We are proud to announce the Operational release of "Reverb", the next generation metadata and service discovery tool. Reverb has been developed utilizing modern web development technologies and presents you with a fresh new look and interface for discovering Earth Science data. We invite you to give it a try and let us know what you think. Reverb will be continually updated on a monthly basis taking into account your user feedback and other enhancements which are currently planned. Your feedback will be critical in us ensuring that you are able to find and access the data you need in the best way possible.

Why "Reverb"?
Reverb searches against the ECHO metadata clearinghouse which facilitates all data discovery and order processing capabilities. To Reverberate is to "echo back or reecho." -
What are the benefits of using Reverb?
Reverb utilizes modern web technologies to provide a refreshing new view through EOSDIS datasets and granules, facilitating enhanced data discovery and service invocation. Reverb will be the new platform from which we will expose new and exciting capabilities for accessing your data of interest. -
What will happen to WIST?
WIST will continue to be available. Users are encouraged to transition to utilizing Reverb, as WIST will be retired. A retirement date has not yet been decided. -
Is all of the data I find in WIST available through Reverb?
Yes, Reverb is searching against the full set of datasets and granules that WIST currently searches against. -
If I submit an order through Reverb, will it be processed?
Yes, all orders submitted through Reverb will be transmitted to the corresponding data center for processing.

How will I know when a new version is released?
New versions of Reverb will be available on a monthly basis. The What's New page referenced from the Reverb menu bar contains information regarding when new releases will be made available.
